I recently had the privilege of visiting the Centre de pédiatrie sociale de Lévis and meeting the remarkable team led by executive director Maude Julien. Thank you as well to my client and to Marc-Antoine Bélanger for introducing me to this inspiring organization and for the warm welcome.
The centre is part of a network of social pediatrics organizations across Québec dedicated to supporting children facing significant challenges and helping them build confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.
What touched me most was not only the dedication of the professionals and volunteers, but also the stories of transformation. Hearing how children regain self-esteem, find stability, and rediscover their potential was deeply moving.
The visit resonated with me on a personal level. As a teenager, I went through difficult periods in my own life and benefited from the support and encouragement of caring people who helped me keep moving forward. Seeing the impact that compassionate guidance can have on a young person’s future brought back many memories and a great deal of gratitude.
In real estate, we often talk about buildings, land, and development. Visits like this are an important reminder that strong communities are ultimately built around people.
