Why the Best Projects Aren’t Always the Most Popular

We live in a world where success is often measured by views, followers, and likes. Yet the projects that create the greatest long-term impact rarely begin with the goal of becoming popular. They start with something deeper: a genuine desire to solve a problem, share knowledge, or contribute to a community, even if that community is relatively small.

When I launched CHIA Podcast in 2021, I knew commercial real estate would never be a mainstream topic. Even so, I kept going, at my own pace, inviting experts I admire to openly share their successes, failures, lessons learned, and the advice they wish they had received earlier in their careers. Four years later, the podcast has surpassed 70,000 views. While that milestone is encouraging, what it truly represents is the power of conviction, consistency, and staying committed to a purpose over time.

If you’re working on a project that genuinely matters to you, don’t give up simply because it’s highly specialized or growing more slowly than you had hoped. The most meaningful projects are not always the ones that succeed overnight. More often, they are the ones that remain true to their mission and keep moving forward, one step at a time.
